Wrong Way Driver Accident Lawyer Reviews Possible Negligence

Common reasons for a driver driving on the wrong side of the road include:

  1. Poorly marked roadway entrance
  2. Inexperienced driver
  3. Intoxicated Driver
  4. Inattentive or Distracted Driver

When a highway entrance is poorly marked, or the sign is blocked by debris, the State’s Department of Transportation can be held civilly liable in a court of law.

A wrong way driver accident lawyer can establish the State’s negligence with the testimony of roadway safety expert witnesses.

However, if the young driver was not paying close attention to the road, he (or his estate) can be held financially liable for the injuries sustained by everyone else in the crash.

Police and the victim’s families will investigate the wrong way driver’s mental state at the time of the collision to determine the extent to which he was at fault. Investigators will review the man’s whereabouts in the hours before the crash.  Occupants of his vehicle will be interviewed and may be required to testify under oath.
