Hurt on a Bucket Truck?

A New York City firefighter died after falling from an FDNY cherry picker ladder truck.  The accident occurred on Putnam Avenue in Ridgewood Queens after firefighters had extinguished a minor blaze.

The firefighter was riding in the bucket truck, attempting to access the roof of the building.  According to reports, after the fireman opened the door of the bucket, he signaled to the truck operator to move the bucket closer to the roof.  At that point the fireman apparently lost his balance and fell out of the bucket.  He tragically plunged 5 stories to his death.
